The League of Women Voters of Thurston County invites viewers to watch the five televised candidate forums for the primary election on August 6. City council positions with 3+ candidates include Lacey, Olympia (2 positions), Olympia Mayor, and Yelm. The League worked with Thurston Community Media to produce these forums which will air on Comcast Channel 77 before August 5. The forums are available now via YouTube.
The League is also working with The Olympian to sponsor a public candidate forum for Olympia mayor on Friday, June 12, at 7:00 p.m. at Olympia Center. The League is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that does not support/oppose candidates or parties.
