The award winning maritime festival, Olympia Harbor Days Tugboat Races and Festival will open Friday, August 30 and run through Sunday, September 1, 2019, Labor Day Weekend along the Olympia waterfront.  This Olympia and regional favorite, now in its 46th year, is a FREE community event produced by the Olympia Kiwanis Club.  2019 plans include past favorites and is the showcase of the World’s Largest Vintage Tugboat Show and Races.  Enjoy tall ships, steam ships, and other historic vessels, hundreds of arts & crafts booths, a food g’alley, harbor boat tours, kids activities including a Lego Harbor Build, live entertainment, sand carving and cultural presentations by title sponsor and community partner, the Squaxin Island Tribe.  More festival information can be found on the Olympia Harbor Days website or on Facebook “Olympia Harbor Days.”

The festival recently won three Golds and one Silver award for live event marketing at the annual Washington Festivals and Events Association Conference. Looking to explore the Puget Sound?  Olympia Harbor Days offers a unique, one of a kind and only public cruise to Olympia aboard the historic steam ship, Virginia V.  Tickets are now on sale for the cruise, harbor tours and tugboat race viewing on the festival website.

All tugboats and other working boats are encouraged to register and attend. There are no fees and moorage is free for participating vessels.  All vessels must be pre-registered, licensed and coast guard approved. The vessel application for the event is on the Tugboat tab of HarborDays.com.

Olympia Harbor Days is accepting applications for the 2019 festival and has limited  booth space still available for Food, Arts & Crafts and Commercial Vendors.  There is always space for children’s rides, activities and entertainment.  Vendor registration forms are available on the website or contact Executive Director Riley.

The Olympia Kiwanis Club, is a non-profit community service organization focused on serving the children of the community since 1921.  Donations and sponsorships to the festival help the Olympia Kiwanis Club’s commitment to keep the tugboats coming to Olympia.
