To support residents as they clean out broken tree limbs and other plant debris from the recent snowstorm, the City of Olympia will be offering two locations to drop off vegetation debris for free on Saturday, February 23, and Sunday, February 24.

“The City Council and City staff recognize that the recent storm hit our citizens hard,” said Steve Hall, Olympia City Manager. “We hope providing these collection sites will ease the cleanup for residents and speed the storm recovery for the City.”

The City is offering this free service to Olympia residents only.  Staff will request proof of Olympia residency before accepting debris, so residents should bring their driver’s license or their utility bill to either of the locations.

Both locations will be accepting debris from 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday:

  • Westside Location – Dirt Works:  Alta Street off of Capital Mall Drive (behind Yauger Park)
  • Eastside Location – City of Olympia Yardwaste Drop Off Site: 1000 10th SE Olympia, WA. 98501
