The City of Lacey invites the community to meet the Lacey Police Chief finalists on Tuesday, November 27, from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. in the Lacey City Hall Council Chambers, 420 College St SE.

The Lacey Police Chief oversees a department of 64 employees, including 52 commissioned officers. In addition, this position is accountable for a $10,600,000 public safety budget and an additional $930,000 in contract services. The Chief of Police is responsible for law enforcement, an active crime prevention program, and the protection of life and property for Lacey residents.

The Washington Association of Sheriffs and Police Chiefs conducted a national search following Chief Dusty Pierpoint’s announced retirement. The successful candidate will be the sixth Chief in the department’s 51-year history. The Police Chief is a key member of the executive team and reports to the Lacey City Manager.
