The City of Lacey invites the community to a retirement reception for Police Chief Dusty Pierpoint in recognition of his 33 years of public service to the Lacey Community. The reception will take place Monday, October 29, from 5:30 p.m. – 7 p.m. at The Hub Central, 676 Woodland Square Loop SE, Lacey. The open-house reception will not include a formal program. Feel free to stop by any time to wish him well.

Dusty Pierpoint served his entire 33-year career with the Lacey Police Department. He started in 1984 as a Community Service Officer and rose through the ranks until appointed Chief in 2005. Throughout his career, Dusty was involved with many of the police department’s successful community policing programs including Crime Stoppers, the student academy, citizen roundtables, and the School Resource Officer program.
