Since their beginnings in 1982, Thurston Community Media (TCMedia) has been working hard to give residents of Thurston County access to educational and governmental programming. Their mission’s platform is to reflect the interests and needs of every segment of the community they serve and to make content available on their cable channels as well as through internet streaming, while being “unequivocally committed to the expression of lawful free speech. Our responsibility is to assist, to the best of our abilities, all residents, nonprofit organizations, schools, and local government agencies in Thurston County in the production of their programs.”

TC Media accomplishes this through a variety of programs, including their popular Mission Non-Profit, which connects monthly with local organizations and agencies that are making positive impacts in our communities. And, when it’s election season, they are Thurston County voters’ go-to channel to hear the candidates and issues. TCMedia CEO and Election Night 2018 host Deborah Vinsel explains:

At TCMedia we believe that helping our community learn about candidates and issues is one of our most valuable services. Election night is the culmination of the community’s involvement in the democratic process and we are proud to bring the results to our viewers.

As you look over your ballet, you may wish you could remember what some of the candidates said about the issues, to help you make your choice. TCMedia has you covered with recorded content readily available.
