The City of Lacey invites residents and property owners to comment on a proposal to place the formation of a Metropolitan Park District (MPD) before city voters in the November 6, 2018, General Election. The comment period will take place during the City Council meeting at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, July 26, at Lacey City Hall, 420 College St SE.
The potential MPD would cost a Lacey homeowner, with property assessed at $300,000, approximately $11.75 per month. The generated funds would be used for park improvements and facilities, as well as park maintenance and operational expenses.
If you are unable to attend the meeting, you can provide written comment by emailing JBurbidge@ci.lacey.wa.us. The City must receive your comment by 5:00 p.m., Thursday, July 26, to be considered.
