The Olympia Farmers Market is pleased to announce its annual Berry Harvest Celebration will occur on Saturday, June 30 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Market.

The Olympia Farmers Market will honor the 2018 local berry harvest with berry farmers such as Johnson Berry Farm, Spooner Berry Farms, Pigman’s Produce, Calliope Farm and more. The Market will sell its famous Market Berry Shortcake featuring ingredients from Johnson’s Berry Farm, San Francisco Street Bakery, Tunawerth Creamery, and many other local farms with berries in season.

Community partners include Slow Food Greater Olympia with gourmet, market-inspired, in-season cooking demonstrations and the Community Action Council’s WIC program distributing the 2018 Farmers Market Nutrition Program Checks. Many other local partners are joining us at Berry Harvest Celebration, offering exciting family-friendly experiences, including Apple Productions & Hokumville on-stage performances.

All proceeds will benefit the Olympia Farmer’s Market annual Farm-to-Table Food Drive which delivers over 80 bags of fresh market produce to families in need at the holiday season, in partnership with organizations such as the Family Support Center, South Sound Senior Services, Safe Place, Thurston Food Bank, Saint’s Pantry, Community Action Council and many more esteemed community organizations. In this way, we are supporting local farms as well as local families with fresh, nutritious, local food around the holiday season!
