Olympia’s Poet Laureate is seeking submissions of poetry for an upcoming anthology publication titled I Hear Olympia Singing. Poems should reflect your unique experience and vision of Olympia’s past, present and future. Submit up to three poems to poetlaureate@ci.olympia.wa.us Please paste poems into the e-mail. Submission window is May 15 to July 15.
The goal of Olympia’s Poet Laureate program is to:
- Promote poetry as an art form
- Expand access to the literary arts
- Connect the community to poetry
- Promote poetry as a community voice that contributes to a sense of place
