Community members and local businesses are invited to learn about plans to upgrade the Interstate 5 and Marvin Road (State Route 510) interchange in Lacey, including a new-to-Washington design.
Construction begins late this summer on the Washington State Department of Transportation project, which creates a diverging diamond interchange. While new to the state, this innovative and proven interchange design is intended to improve traffic flow and help reduce the potential for crashes. Cyclists and pedestrians will also see safety and access improvements.
WSDOT will host two separate open houses where staff will share project information, discuss what to expect during construction and answer questions. No formal presentation will be provided; community members can stop by any time during both events.
