Sara and Sam Morris from Olympia have three boys. As you can imagine, things in their house were not always simpatico. Especially when it came to chores.

The idea of PopChart started with a sticky note, three fighting boys and two frustrated parents. Like most parents, Sara and Sam Morris of Olympia were trying their best to navigate the not so fun side of parenting. With three boys ages 11, 7 and 4, arguing, bickering, incomplete chores, forgotten homework and excessive amounts of screen time were becoming a constant struggle.

“We started a makeshift point system to encourage and reward positive behavior but quickly found that it was unmanageable on simple sticky notes. We found charting works but as a busy family updating charts is too time consuming especially when we are constantly on the go. I proposed the idea of developing an app to my husband Sam, a mobile software engineer, and after talking to dozens of parents in our South Bay community about the project, PopChart Family was born..” says CEO and co-founder of PopChart Family, Sara Morris.

Using Sara’s art background and Sam’s programming skills plus the combined knowledge of parenting three kids, the family is developing a modern solution to the old ways of charting chores, awarding good deeds and encouraging positive behavior in kids. PopChart Family is a modern & fun behavior management system for kids ages 3 to 12 years old.

“PopChart has been a game-changer for our family and now we need your help to finish and share PopChart with the world.” says Sara.

PopChart Family is available now for pre-order on Kickstarter for the early bird price and exclusive early backer rewards.
