The Snohomish Skyhawks jumped out to another commanding lead over the Oly Town Artesians en route to a 10-4 win at the Snohomish Soccer Dome on Saturday night. Jordan Zimmerman scored his first indoor goal for the Artesians and Oly Town scored three power play goals in the loss.

Tye Hastings started things off quickly for the Skyhawks (2-1-0, 6 points), taking advantage of a miscue on the back line to put Snohomish up 1-0 just nine seconds into the game. It was the first of seven straight goals for the Skyhawks and it took until eight minutes into the third quarter before Zimmerman finally broke through for the Artesians (0-2-0, 0 points).

JT Meyer, Gabriele Zacccagnini and Matt Stalnik each collected power play goals for Oly Town, who managed to go 3-for-5 with a man advantage in the game. Snohomish was hit for five blue cards and committed 15 fouls in the contest.  Josh Dube and Nate Boatright each had an assist for the Artesians.

Snohomish had three players record braces – Hastings, Paul Burgess, and Adrian Espinoza. Andrew Escalante, Aaron Burns and Michael Sitzman each scored once for the Skyhawks and the Artesians were hit with a spot of bad luck when a slight deflection off a defender went in for an own goal.

Ryan Perkins made an emergency start at goalkeeper for Oly Town and played admirably considering he had not trained with the team yet this season. He made 22 saves in front of relenting pressure by the Skyhawks offense.

Trevor Davoren and Seth Hespe split time in goal for Snohomish with Davoren pitching a shutout, albeit only facing four shots on goal over 30 minutes.  Hespe allowed four goals but made ten saves in the second half.

Oly Town will try to put the Skyhawks in their rearview mirror and will turn their attention to the Olympic Force for their matchup next Saturday at the Olympic Sports Center in Bremerton. The Artesians return home to face the Tacoma Stars Reserves on December 16. First kick at The Pavilion at Evergreen is set for 6:30 p.m.
