Please join us at Nature Nurtures Farm, located at 2406 Delphi Rd. SW, on Saturday, October 14 from 3:00 p.m. to dusk and help us celebrate five years of serving the community! We’ll have fun activities for everyone and the BBQ will be fired up so bring something to grill or a potluck dish to share. We’ll also have a bonfire and s’mores as the temperature and the sun goes down. We will be in the pasture (rain or shine) so bring something to sit on and be sure to wear your boots! Come celebrate with us and learn more about what we do and how you can be involved!

Nature Nurtures
Campers gather in the Nature Nurtures barn during a summer camp session where they learn horse breeds, tack care, and basic equine veterinary care.

Nature Nurtures Farm brings young people and animals together to build empathy, teach responsibility and inspire hope. Nature Nurtures Farm has two locations to serve the public.

Programs at the 23-acre farm offer participants the opportunity to learn how to be responsible citizens and advocates for those who can’t advocate for themselves. Summer Camp Programs at the farm are open to the general public and serve children ages 7-12. The Youth Mentoring Program pairs at-risk youth with a caring adult or older teenage mentor while they perform basic farm-related and animal-caretaking duties. The Farm serves about 250 children every year.

The Nature Nurtures Farm Child Development Center, located at 1939 Karen Frazier Rd. SE in Olympia, offers a full-time pre-K child care program with a focus on outdoor play and education. The center is located on a spacious acre with a brand-new outdoor playground, which was recently funded by the Olympia Rotary Club and supported by a sponsorship from Port Blakely, a beautiful vegetable garden, two resident goats, and regular trips to the Farm. The Child Development Center serves approximately 50 children a year.

Nature Nurtures Farm is also happy to announce the launching of a Forest Preschool Pilot Program in October which will serve children ages 3 to 5, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. at the Farm location. Modeled after popular Scandinavian outdoor preschool programs, activities at Forest Preschool will include exploring and playing in the outdoors, age appropriate environmental education, and lots of interaction with the animals on the Farm. The Nature Nurtures Farm Forest Preschool Pilot Program will serve about 6 children and will offer an introductory rate of $350 per month. Announcements will be made as the program grows and expands its offerings. Follow the Nature Nurtures Farm Facebook page to keep updated on programs and events.

Nature Nurtures Farm was established as a 501(c)3 nonprofit in Olympia, WA in April, 2012 by sisters Nicole and Julie Peters.
