Voters interested in running for elected office must file during “Candidate Filing Week,” Monday, May 15 – Friday, May 19. There are nearly 80 offices in Thurston County up for election this year, including:

• County Treasurer
• Port Commissioners
• City and Town Mayors & Council Members
• City Municipal Court Judge • School Board Directors
• Fire Commissioners
• Cemetery District Commissioners
• Parks & Recreation Commissioners

Voters may file:

• By mail – Now, but must be received no later than 4:30 p.m. May 19.
• Online – 24/7 beginning May 15 at 9:00 a.m. until May 19 at 4:00 p.m. File on line at the Thurston County Elections’ website.
• In person – Thurston County Auditor’s Office from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. between May 15 – 19.

Filing fees (if any) vary by each position. These fees are nonrefundable and must be received in the Thurston County Auditor’s Office by 4:30 p.m. May 19.
