Blaine Land, Lacey South Sound Chamber’s Event Coordinator, hopes to make it the “ultimate football gathering. The vision for this event is to have three separate rooms for our guests to ‘shuffle’ between throughout the two live NFL wildcard games. Each room will have a different sponsored theme as well as a different caterer and three different alcohol vendors for beer, wine, and spirits.”

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Dashon Foxx will also be visiting the Wildcard Scramble, chatting with party-goers.

This year’s hang-out rooms are sponsored by America’s Credit Union, O Bee Credit Union, Keller Williams Realty, Budd Bay Promotions and Apparel and ThurstonTalk. These sponsoring groups will organize decorations, games, giveaways, and more. Corn hole or giant Jenga, anyone?

Hungry guests will find tasty treats catered by local fan-favorites Wildfire BBQ Catering, Tailgate BBQ, and Casa Mia. Additional small-plate food is available for $5 each. Olympia Beer, Sandstone Distillery and Dick’s Brewing will also be on-site because nothing pairs better with pigskin.

Throughout the evening trivia prizes will be awarded and $1 raffle tickets sold. The raffle drawing will be held at the end of the night. Lucky winners could win Seahawks swag, gift cards and certificates for local businesses and restaurants, and even a Super Bowl-worthy new recliner from the Olympia Furniture Company.

Director Stephen Sabol once said “Look at a football field. It looks like a big movie screen. This is theater. Football combines the strategy of chess. It’s part ballet. It’s part battleground, part playground.” Add Super Bowl 51 dreams and time spent with family and friends, and you’ve got a great start on 2017.
