Olympia Holiday Season Kickoff
Sunday, November 27, noon – 5:00 p.m.
The Olympia Downtown Association produces a downtown extravaganza each year on the Sunday after Thanksgiving in downtown Olympia to kick off the holiday season. The event includes Gingerbread Village, Musical Entertainment, Wagon and Trolley Rides, Photos with Santa, Parade and Tree Lighting Ceremony. For a complete schedule, click here.

City of Lacey Tree Lighting and Parade of Lights
Monday, December 5, 6:00 – 7:30 pm
The City of Lacey parade starts at 6:00. Tree lighting in the park and an outdoor showing of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” will follow. Parade of Lights will travel down Sleater Kinney, 7th Ave, and wrap around Huntamer Park.

Olympia Youth Chorus
A Season of Peace
Monday, December 5, 2016, 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
The concert is hosted as a benefit for the Family Support Center. Admission is by donation and the concert is held at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church.

Annual Christmas Show Featuring the Chinook String Quartet

Sunday, December 11, 2:30 p.m.
Find the Olympia Choral Society performing at the Koval Center for the Performing Arts in Lacey. The free concert is open to all and donations are being accepted.
Student Orchestras of Greater Olympia
Brass Choir Holiday Show – Music from Holiday Films
Saturday, December 10, 2:00 p.m.
Featuring the Olympia Youth Chorus, this annual concert by the SOGO Brass Choir is held at Westminster Presbyterian Church.

Tumwater Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Festival
Saturday, December 10, 2:00 – 5:00 p.m.
This free event is held at the Tumwater City Hall and Fire Station Headquarters
Community Messiah Sing-Along
Saturday, December 19, 7:00 p.m.
Presented by SOGO and The Washington Center, listen and sing-along to Handel’s glorious masterpiece. This free event is a true community event with guest conductors and soloists, featuring the audience as the chorus. Admission is free and vocal scores will be available for purchase.
Music happens every weekend throughout December including Small Business Saturday and the Holiday Shopping Delight, December 22, 23, 24 featuring music. On tap for end of December is The Puget Sounders (December 22), Hook Me Up (December 23), and Charlie Saibel (December 24). Music can generally be heard from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Times may vary.
