The Thurston County Chamber hired a new events coordinator, Krystal Barkus.
Born and raised in Thurston County, Barkus is a 2005 graduate of North Thurston High School, and a graduate of Central Washington University where she majored in Tourism Management and was actively involved in the Recreation and Tourism Club. Barkus originally came to the Thurston Chamber in an administrative role through the Work Experience (WEX) program of Pacific Mountain Workforce Development Council.
When she isn’t planning a Chamber event, you’ll find Barkus spending time with her family.
Barkus takes the position from Alisha Blain who is now the Leadership Thurston County program coordinator.
