First-Year Saint Martin’s University head coach Jon Killingbeck announced the 2016 volleyball schedule, which includes 10 regular-season matches in Marcus Pavilion and one scrimmage.

The Saints will scrimmage Corban University (Ore.) on August 24 at 4:00 p.m. and have the Alumni match on August 27 at 5:00 p.m. Both matches will be open to the public.

Saint Martin’s opens the regular season on the road in Hayward, California, for the Cal State East Bay Tournament and will see Academy of Art, Holy Names University (California), Notre Dame de Namur and Dominican University of California.

The Saints will open Great Northwest Athletic Conference play in Alaska against Alaska Anchorage on September 16 at 7:00 p.m. local time and Alaska on September 17 at 4:00 p.m. local time.

The first regular-season home match for SMU is September 22 at 7:00 p.m. against Concordia and the final regular-season match will be against Alaska Anchorage on November 19 at 7:00 p.m. That match the Saints will celebrate one senior in Maddie Knecht.

The coaching staff is grateful that the Saints return 14 players to help guide the four new freshman. Coach Killingbeck said, “The experience of the returners blended with the new energy of the freshman make this an exciting time to be a Saint.”

All seats are general admission, priced at $5 for adults and $3 for seniors, military and students. Children 11 and under are free and SMU students and staff are admitted for free with ID.

Tickets can be purchased the day of the event with cash only at the front entrance to Marcus Pavilion. Ticket window opens one hour prior to first serve.
