Addison Jeske, a senior at Pope John Paul II High School, received a National Merit Scholarship.

Pope John Paul II High School Senior, Addison Jeske, has been selected as a winner of the National Merit Scholarship. The 2,500 Merit Scholar designees were chosen from a talent pool of more than 15,000 outstanding Finalists in the 2015 National Merit Scholarship Program.

Addison has spent his entire high school career at JPII. Addison has been a member of the JPII jazz band, history bowl team, knowledge bowl team, robotics, choir, and drama club. Over the course of his four years at JPII, Addison has run cross country and competed in basketball and baseball. Addison was elected ASB President in 2014 and completed his senior service project at the Salvation Army/Community Kitchen.

Addison is the valedictorian of the Class of 2015 and will graduate with JPII’s third senior class on June 6, 2015. He will begin his university studies at the University of Chicago in September.

Pope John Paul II High School provides a college preparatory education to South Puget Sound students in the rich tradition of Catholic education. JPII develops young men and women who are intellectually strong, spiritually alive, and committed to serving the needs of others. The school is located at 5608 Pacific Avenue in the former Lacey fire station building, just east of Saint Martin’s University.
