Every week day the Swantown Marina in downtown Olympia plays host to Olympia Area Rowing’s Junior Rowers. After the rowers finish school for the day, they head down to the docks for their daily practice. Although intensely strenuous, every dedicated team member seems to have a huge admiration for the sport. The photos here are of the OAR junior rowers made up of rowers of varied ages. It was personally amazing to watch people my age work together as a whole. They took charge of the boats and the lineup and seemed to fit together as if they had been doing this for years (which some have). If you have a chance, head down to the marina to catch these amazing athletes participating in a sport they love.
