Procession 25The annual Procession of the Species Celebration is an Olympia tradition for over 20 years.  Grandparents, parents and kids, families and friends gather at the end of April each year to witness the splendor and diversity of earth’s inhabitants.  Animals, large and small, flora and fauna of all shapes and sizes, the earth, wind, water and fire are all celebrated equally.  This year’s procession is on April 25, 2015.  Come and enjoy.  Don’t miss it.

After 20 years, organizers and supporters are looking at different ways to sustain the efforts of putting the Procession together.  A notable change is that the Community art Studio is no longer available.  Many folks in our community support the Procession and have been working to help raise funds to keep this tradition going.  Here are the many ways you can help.

Attend fundraising events:

  • Latin Heat, Zumba fundraiser on March 28, 2015 from 6-9 pm at Eagles Ballroom on 4th and Plum.   $25.00 suggested donation.  Feel free to give more.  Volunteer licensed Zumba instructors will lead the dances to hot and spicy Latin music.  Participants are encouraged to dress in festive attire because it is a party for Procession.
  • Procession Generation Gala Dinner at Red Lion on Saturday, April 4, 2015.  Tickets are available $50.00 per person.   Click here to purchase your tickets.
