Sunflower FrontWestport Winery has bottled its first pure Riesling wine grape juice for kids, designated drivers, expecting mothers, and others who want to enjoy the full beauty and taste of wine grapes without the alcohol. With a name like Sunflower you have to recognize its innocence and sunny disposition.

The Roberts family decided to create this new product with urging from friends in the industry whose young daughter wanted to enjoy the taste, aroma, and beauty while having a beverage that was completely age appropriate. When they asked the Roberts to make a “kid wine” there was a sense that this was a product that was long overdue in the region.

The label for Sunflower, like several other labels the 38-choice wine list, was painted by Blain Roberts’ friend and surf partner Darryl Easter. Sunflower is available for tasting daily at the winery where it is offered in a conventional wine bottle. Plus, it is available by the glass in their Farm to Fork Restaurant.

Westport Winery and Vineyards By-the-Sea Gardens with the unique sculpture garden, lavender labyrinth, musical fence, 9-hole executive golf course, giant chess set, outdoor scrabble game, and grape maze, is located on the corner of Highway 105 and South Arbor Road halfway between Aberdeen and Westport. Westport Winery was named Best of the Northwest Wine Tour in 2010, 2011, 2013 and 2014.

The tasting room, gift shop, produce market, plant nursery and bakery are open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The restaurant is open for lunch daily from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and for dinner on Friday and Saturday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. For more information contact Westport Winery at 360-648-2224 or visit the website atwww.westportwinery.com.
