lacey city planThe community is invited to help ‘Envision Lacey’ and plan for future growth of their neighborhood at an open house on Tuesday, February 11 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Lacey Elementary School, 1800 Homann Drive SE. This meeting will be focusing on the Pleasant Glade and Central Planning Area in Lacey.
The current population of Lacey and its surrounding Urban Growth Area (UGA) is approximately 76,000, and is expected to grow by an additional 30,000 people over the next 20 years. The city is currently updating its land use plan, which will shape how the future growth will be accommodated.
The open house will focus on refining broad planning concepts to a more granular, neighborhood-specific level. The intention of the meeting is to help spark conversations about neighborhood planning and discuss potential opportunity sites. The public will have an opportunity to learn about the project, ask questions, and share their thoughts. Copies of the draft plan will be available.
