The Artesian Commons improvement project has begun. Work will begin on Thursday, January 2, 2014. The work includes:
- A new parking lot entrance to provide vehicle access to and from Jefferson Street to the artesian well parking area.
- Restriping of portions of the existing parking lot to provide 8 dedicated parking stalls for artesian well users.
The work is anticipated to be completed by Friday, January 10. Upon completion, access to the artesian well from 4th Avenue will be closed, and the Artesian Commons project area will be secured with temporary construction fencing until the project is complete and the park is officially opened on May 3, 2014. During the project, access to the artesian well will be from 5th Avenue and from Jefferson Street only.
