Lacey's Signing SantaLacey Parks and Recreation invites you to celebrate the season with a week full of free holiday events and traditions, including festive music, tree lightings, and a chance to visit with Santa.

Performances will be given by the South Sound Community Orchestra and the Rose Garden Choir. All ages will enjoy this festive concert, which is sure to get you in the holiday spirit.

Lighting of the Christmas Trees An old-fashioned tree lighting ceremony begins at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 5, at Huntamer Park in Woodland Square (618 Woodland Square Loop SE). The event features caroling by the Komachin Middle School Choir, hot cocoa, and a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus aboard the Lacey Fire Department’s Santa Mobile.

Signing Santa Hearing-impaired children will have a chance to communicate their wishes to a Santa that speaks their language on Friday, December 6, from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. at Chambers Prairie Elementary School, 6501 Virginia Street SE. This event is an opportunity for children to gather and see the spirit of giving, seek new friends, and promote awareness of the deaf community. Santa will also hear the wishes of hearing children, and American Sign Language (ASL) students from North Thurston High School will perform holiday music.
