O Bee Credit Union will be at the Oly Trot in Olympia on Thanksgiving morning to collect and deliver non-perishable food items for the Thurston County Food Bank. The annual four-mile run is an opportunity for the running community to get some Thanksgiving exercise and make a difference for families in need as the holidays approach. Tradition holds that runners donate two cans of food on the day of the race. This year’s run is a sold out event with 1,000 runners registered.

“Before we feast and give thanks today, we plan to fill up this whole truck with canned food,” said Devin Cadigan of O Bee, AVP Contact Center Manager. “In the past our runners and spectators have been very generous. We expect to be to pretty busy all morning” he added.

Guerilla Running is organizing the Oly Trot. As in past years, donated food and proceeds from the race benefit the Thurston County Food Bank. Come out to cheer on your friends and support the Thurston County Food Bank, help O Bee Credit Union stuff the truck.
