Let me start off with the practical.  If you are looking for Halloween activities, I have them all lined out for you here.  Click on over to this article for all your favorite stories about spooky fun in Olympia.

I will now move on to our regularly scheduled programming, for our purists who look to our weekend event calendar.  I’ll throw in some Halloween activities, but keep it focused on the diverse opportunities for fun around Olympia. Read on.

  • Get a kick start on holiday shopping at the Gull Harbor Art Show on Friday evening and throughout Saturday.
  • Watch Whitey’s first of three movie nights at Alpine Experience on Friday evening.  Outdoor enthusiasts don’t want to miss it.
  • Raise money for Boys & Girls Clubs of Thurston County on Friday night.  Learn more about their Lacey branch director, Shellica Trevino, here.
  • Grab a Van’s Burger before Saturday night, when Erica Van Lierop closes for the season.
  • Be part of a world record.  Grab your favorite zombie attire and head out to Bucoda Gym for a Thriller dance party on Saturday afternoon.
  • Welcome a return of the uber-popular Boo Bash to the Hands On Children’s Museum on Saturday from noon until 5:00 p.m.
  • Catch a production of Henry V at Harlequin Productions, Fools Play Improv, or Improbably Peck of Plays II at the Midnight Sun.
  • Forget Halloween and start to plan Thanksgiving dinner.  Order turkeys locally here.
  • Play at the Olympia Farmers Market.  Participate in squash races or the famous costume contest.  Events all weekend at the Market.
