SafePlace, a non-profit agency serving survivors of domestic and sexual violence, is proud to be the beneficiary of the Zonta Club of South Puget Sound’s Personal Care Kits.

Because October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the Zonta Club of South Puget Sound is providing SafePlace with 50 personal care kits for shelter residents.  Upon request each kit will contain a manicure/pedicure kit, a purse size make-up bag, a small mirror, a hair brush, a bottle of mouth wash, a personal journal with pen, and a gift card for additional personal items.

“This is such a great donation- these are items that are much appreciated and often overlooked.  Self-care is such a priority in the process of healing.  Gifts like these care kits are a wonderful way to show survivors how much they are cared for and support them in taking care of themselves,” says Amy Heller, SafePlace Residential Services Coordinator.

The Zonta Club of South Puget Sound is a member of Zonta International which is a powerful organization creative positive change in women’s lives throughout the world.
