Three providers joined the Providence Medical Group this month – Jamie Potosek, MD; Melissa Purtteman, MD; and Emily Clay, MD, FAAFP.
Dr. Purtteman is now accepting patients at Providence St. Peter Family Medicine.
She is a graduate of The Ohio State University and did her residency in Olympia. She believes a strong physician/patient relationship, with continued study and research, leads to providing the highest quality medical care. Her medical interests include the full scope of family medicine, including obstetrics, procedures and end-of-life care.

Dr. Clay is now accepting patients at Providence East Olympia Family Medicine.
Board certified in family medicine, she is a graduate of Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, and did her internship and residence at Madigan Army Medical Center in Fort Lewis. She is experienced in the full spectrum of family medicine, including women’s health, pediatrics, and young adult to elderly care. She is experience in the care of military families, and was named the Family Medicine Faculty of the Year winner in 2011-2012 at Ft. Benning Martin Army Community Hospital.

Dr. Potosek is now seeing patients at the Providence Regional Cancer System facilities in Lewis County and Lacey.
Board certified in internal, hospice and palliative medicine, she is a graduate of Drexel University College of Medicine and did her internship and residence and Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Her specialties include medical oncology and hematology.
