A warm breeze and hearty laughter flowed through the Olympia Farmer’s Market on Tuesday night, August 20, for the 14th Annual Taste of the Market Dinner. The evening is the premier fundraising event for Friends Of The Olympia Farmer’s Market, a non-profit organization supporting this community hub. Projects funded by the group include the sound system, picnic tables, recycling centers and much more. The evening is a free-for-all of delicious local food and drink, served throughout the market’s indoor and outdoor spaces.
Attendees stroll through the market filling their plates from the wide variety of restaurants serving everything from kraut to salmon and strawberry shortcake to steak tacos. Beers were on tap from local breweries and many local wineries sampled their wines. Raffles, Door Prizes and Silent Auction items all helped to raise money for this community icon.
