“I’m proud that we were able to reach an agreement that recognizes the interests of all parties,” said Capital CEO Jim Geist. “This agreement reflects Capital’s ongoing commitment to our employees, who are clearly our greatest asset.  Our management and staff are dedicated to providing the highest quality of care to the families living in Thurston County and the surrounding region.”

Geist also expressed appreciation to the UFCW, saying: “While the issues at hand were tough and at times the discussions became very passionate, both the hospital and the union are united in our understanding of the very difficult and uncertain healthcare environment we are operating in.”
