Spring Arts Walk is a family friendly activity. While kids are welcome at all art venues, some locations have specific activities geared for little ones. Visit the Olympia Timberland Library to dance to percussion music on Friday night. Stop in at the Hands On Children’s Museum with free admission after 5:00 pm on Friday. Engage in special activities with local artists. The Capital Lakefair Royal Court will be face painting as well.
Chalk is spread throughout downtown Olympia and kids (and adults) are welcome to create a masterpiece on local streets.
Procession of the Species leads off the Saturday evening activities at 4:30 pm. Procession participants create elaborate floats and costumes to represent animals. No advertising or spoken word is permitted.
