Next weekend is busy. Thurston County will have loads of choices on events around the area. From Procession of the Species to Spring Arts Walk and out to the Dragon Boat Festival, with plenty of other things to do as well. This weekend, in the spirit of Earth Day, why don’t you try one of many family-friendly volunteer projects happening around the county.

- Make a costume for Procession of the Species.
- Support the Hands On Children’s Museum by grabbing a slice of pizza at the new West Olympia Domino’s.
- Clean up your home office at a free shredding event to benefit Crime Stoppers.
- Use the newly updated Capitol Forest map to play outside.
- Teach your kids to ride a bike without training wheels. Great places to ride can be found here.
