Timberline Blazers vs. Tacoma’s Lincoln Basketball Team

In one of the area’s most anticipated boys basketball games this season, Timberline High School fell short against state power Lincoln of Tacoma by a final score of 70-60 in Lacey.  The Blazers were able to keep pace with the Abes throughout the entire game.  Star junior recruit Donaven Dorsey went against Lincoln’s Tre’shaun Fletcher, a senior forward, and junior guard Ahmaad Rorie.

Fletcher is committed to play for the University of Colorado next year while Rorie has verbally committed to the University of California-Berkeley.  Along with Dorsey’s performance, the Blazers were boosted by the play of Chase Ryan, Elijah Sanders and Tyler Gartner.  In December, Lincoln defeated timberline 61-45 and is currently atop the 3A Narrows League standings.

University of Washington head basketball coach Lorenzo Romar was in attendance, not surprising given that Dorsey has already been offered an athletic scholarship to the school.
