brewery city pizza sponsorThe rain and wind flowing from the grey sky of Thurston County did not damper the spirits of the fans and players present at South Sound Stadium last Sunday, for the Thurston County Youth Football League championship games.  Featuring teams from all high school districts in the county (all donning the same colors and mascot of their future high school), the two top teams from each of the leagues five divisions faced off for the championship trophy after a two month long season.

Players range from in age from seven to fourteen in the TCYFL, which had 1,545 players and over 550 volunteer coaches alone.  Each franchise also has a cheerleading squad and all participated in a competition earlier in October.  Photos are from the Major Junior Varsity Championship game between the Blazers and the Wolves.
