Quinault Beach Resort & Casino Concert Brings DSB, America’s #1 Journey Tribute Band, To Ocean Shores

DSB is dubbed America’s favorite Journey tribute band – and for good reason.

Its five members – Juan Del Castillo, Roger Cain, Scotty Kormos, Tony Love, and Henry O’Neill – uncannily capture Steve Perry’s unique vocals and the celebrated band’s signature sound.

As part of its popular free Summer Concert Series, Quinault Beach Resort & Casino is hosting DSB on Saturday, September 1st at 8:00 p.m.

Journey was indisputably one of the 1980’s top bands. The Bay Area group enjoyed hit after hit with such songs as “Don’t Stop Believin’,” “Any Way You Want It,” “Open Arms,” and “Faithfully.”

The band’s old standbys have enjoyed a cultural renaissance in recent years, after appearing on the soundtracks of popular TV shows like The Sopranos and GLEE.

Formed in Los Angeles in 2009, DSB (an acronym for what is arguably Journey’s most famous hit, “Don’t Stop Believin’”) is made up of professional musicians who came together from two separate bands to create DSB and take the Journey cover band concept to new heights.

Drummer Scotty Kormos, guitarist Roger Cain, and bassist Tony Love had been playing regular Disneyland gigs for years in California band Sandbox.

Juan Del Castillo was already part of a successful Journey cover band – his vocal timbre, range, and control eerily similar to original Journey front man Steve Perry’s – when he approached Kormos, Cain, and Love, and asked them to join him in a new Journey cover band. Henry O’Neill also came aboard, on keys.

The rest is history, as DSB’s members combined their talents and vocals to climb to the top of the Journey cover band heap, touring nationally and internationally in front of large audiences – and performing more tour dates than all of its competitors.

Faithful fans of Journey’s music, DSB strives to stay true to the band’s legacy while infusing the heart of these classic songs with its own special energy.

Make the quick drive from Thurston County to Ocean Shores and take in the free DSB concert. Make it a true getaway and enjoy Quinault Beach Resort & Casino’s Vegas style casino games, extraordinary variety of delicious eating options, and spa treatments galore.
