Thursday at the Thurston County Fair has big bargains in store for Kids’ Day and Buddy Day.
On Kids’ Day, Thursday, August 2 all admission tickets for kids ages 6-14 are $2 when purchased at the gate. August 2 is also Buddy Day, when you can get two carnival ride armbands for the price of one for $24 if you and a buddy are both present at the time of purchase (no advance purchase available for Buddy Day special). The fair is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursday, August 2.
“There’s something for everyone at the fair on Thursday, but for me personally, my mind is only on one thing—the chocolate cake contest!” said Rick Storvick, Thurston County Fair Manager.
Along with Storvick’s favorite Fair Manager’s Chocolate Cake Contest, Thursday’s event schedule has more than 45 events, contests and performances, including 4-H dog and cat competitions, performances by the Comerford School of Irish Dance, and music by Olympia’s own indie rock sensation the Best F-Tigers Forever. (Complete August 2 events schedule below.)
