Thurston County Food Bank Asks You To “Give 40” To Mark Their 40 Years

The mission is clear… “Eliminate hunger within our community.” What’s the strategy? “Neighbor helping neighbor.”

Join the Thurston County Food Bank as they host the Thurston County Chamber’s Business After Hours  on Thursday, February 16, from 5:30-7:30pm. Visit the Food Bank at its main location, 220 NE Thurston Ave in downtown Olympia, and learn more about this extraordinary organization which is marking its 40th Anniversary.

With demand higher than ever, monthly the Food Bank serves more than 10,000 individuals, seniors, children and family members. Food is distributed through the main downtown Olympia location and dozens of Thurston County off-site programs and satellite locations.

Be part of the “Neighbor Helping Neighbor” solution to hunger.  Take the Food Bank’s 40th Anniversary Challenge of “Giving 40” this year…40 food items, 40 hours of volunteer time or $40. Food items will be accepted at the event.

General admission for Business After Hours is $20, with Chamber members paying $10.
