The Thurston County Through The Decades event took place on Sunday, October 2 at Tumwater Falls Park. Students from the Tumwater Middle School Homesteaders Program, dressed in period clothing, pressed apple cider. The New Horizon Band from Olympia provided musical entertainment. Historical groups from around the area set up booths to share Thurston County history while others taught visitors how to split shingles, make a rope and lasso a cow.
