2011 House of Delegates

 

SAN DIEGO July 24,2011– Steve Russell, DDS was appointed as a delegate to the Academy of General Dentistry’s (AGD) 2011 House of Delegates (HOD), during the AGD’s 2011 Annual Meeting & Exhibits, July 28-31, 2011, in San Diego.

 

The HOD, the AGD’s governing body, decides policy and votes on issues that affect the dental community and the AGD’s 37,000 general dentists who serve patients in the United States, its territories, and Canada. Committed to providing quality care and patient education to the public, AGD members are required to take 75 hours of continuing dental education every three years.

 

As a member of the AGD, Dr. Russell is committed to life-long learning and excellence in patient care. Dr. Russell has been a member of the AGD since his first year in dental school in 2001 and started on the board for the Washington AGD as a student member in 2002. Dr. Russell has served as membership chair for the Washington State AGD and is currently treasurer. Dr. Russell has served as an alternate delegate and delegate for the AGD in previous years.

 

Dr. Russell graduated from University of Washington School of Dentistry in 2005. Since then, he has been in private practice in Tumwater, Washington. In addition to the AGD, Dr. Russell is also a member of the American Dental Association, Washington State Dental Association, Thurston/Mason County Dental Society, and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.  Currently, he lives with his wife, Katie and his child, Peyton, in Olympia, WA.
