Enter Quilt Blocks at the Thurston County Fair
Enter Thurston County Fair’s Quilt Block Contest on Monday, July 25, 2011 at the Thurston County Fairground’s Heritage Hall between 3:00pm -7:00pm. Quilt Block Kits are available for $7.95 at Ruby Street Quiltworks on 100 Ruby Street SE, Tumwater, WA 98501. You can use this fabric to make any block pattern from the fabrics, but you cannot add any other fabric from outside the packet. Participants should bring their finished quilt block no wider than 12 ½” square, which will be judged on accuracy of construction and creative use of the supplied fabric. All squares will be displayed in Heritage Hall during the Thurston County Fair, and twelve squares will be kept by the Thurston County Fair to be made into a quilt and raffled off at next year’s fair.
