Friday May 27th and Saturday May 28th:         This Friday and Saturday is the Evergreen Science Carnival and Research Exposition at the Evergreen State College (2700 Evergreen Parkway NW Olympia, WA 98505). The carnival runs from 10AM to 3PM on both days, plus it is free and open to the public. There will be hundreds of presentations from Evergreen science students with an emphasis on hands on participation and fun. Science lovers of all ages will have a great time at this event. Some of the fields that will be represented will include: chemistry, computer science, biology, food science, health, physics, optics, marine science and a wide range of other disciplines.

Saturday May 28th If you’re ready to get groovin’ to the beat this Saturday night, look out for the New Blues Brothers at the Eagle’s Landing Hotel (12888 188th Ave. SW
Rochester, WA 98573). They will be performing hit tunes from 9PM-1AM and the best part is that it’s free!

 

Saturday May 28thGet ready for a bluesy Evening With Curtis Salgado at the Washington Center for the Performing Arts (512 Washington Street SE Olympia, WA 98501) at 7:30PM. Salgado is a favorite artist, and known for his amazing harmonica pieces. Ticket prices are based on seating sections so please visit their website at www.washingtoncenter.org

 

Saturday May 28th and Sunday May 29th:  The sun is going to be out this weekend! Make the most of the outdoors and join in the Historic Shoreline Guideline Walk from Percival Landing (4th Ave. Olympia, WA 98501) beginning at 10AM sharp. The downtown walk is a short loop along Percival Landing to the East, which crosses over 4th, and 5th Avenues into Heritage Park. Then it loops back to the Capital Lake dam. The guided excursion takes about one to one and a half hours. Just show up, or call or e-mail to make a reservation. Special accommodations can be made for groups requesting a different date or time.
