Steve Hall – decision maker

If he could wave a magic wand and do one thing for downtown Olympia, city manager Steve Hall said he would want to build 2000 units of market rate housing. Hall made those remarks on KGY AM 1240′s radio show “Decision Makers” with host Ken Balsley.

Hall said that political realities make that difficult, but says it would really benefit the downtown area.

In other issues, Hall said the lawsuit currently underway in Seattle with three woman who were former jail inmates of the Olympia Police Department is different than the one just settled recently for some $200,000. “In that case we were wrong,” Hall said. “This time, we’re in the right.”

Decision makers can be heard every Tuesday at two pm on KGY. Ken’s guest next week will be new State Representative Chris Reykdal.
