Moving forward to complete paving

Over the next few weeks, the contractor for the Littlerock Road Phase 2 project, Sterling Breen, will be moving forward to complete the paving work on the project.  The first order of work will involve the removal and replacement of a significant portion of the initial layer of asphalt, between Odegard Road and Kingswood Drive that was placed last fall, as well as a few areas of concrete curbing.  Much of the asphalt that was placed has been determined by the City to not be in conformance with the plans.

Corrective work has begun – What to expect

In addition to the removal and replacement work discussed, the contractor will also be completing structural repairs, or “dig-outs” of areas of failed pavement that exist on the portion of the project between Costco and Trosper Road.  Following the completion of the first layer of asphalt and the “dig-outs” the contractor will be in a position to construct the final layer of asphalt for the entire length of the project… Read the full story.

Additional lane and sidewalk: Trosper Road  Included in the greater Littlerock Road project is a smaller project: the addition of a second lane for eastbound Trosper Road between Lake Park Drive and Skipper Lane (in front of Wells Fargo and The Brick).

Curb and sidewalk have been poured.  Street and parking lot paving will occur near the end of the Littlerock Road paving work.

Delays expected – Alternate routes still advisedDuring all of the paving work, individual lane closures will occur with one-way traffic being routed through the work zone.  Flaggers will be in place to direct traffic.

Motorists will experience delays.  The use of alternate routes is advised.
