The future of the Great Pacific Northwest Mushroom Festival is up in the air today.
The Hawks Prairie Rotary Club, which has co-sponsored the event for three years with the City of Lacey, has withdrawn it’s support. In making the decision, Hawks Prairie Rotary Club President Joseph Beaulieu said “the cost to stage the event was too great for the return on the investment, both financially and in volunteer time, that we receive in return.”
Lacey City Manager Greg Cuoio said the city would have to take a look at the decision and determine what its next course of action will be.
