Gardeners, both beginners and seasoned, will benefit from this workshop and seed exchange with educator, author, activist, and “urban food warrior,” Caitlin Moore.

Moore will cover topics chosen to get gardens off to a strong start, including: starting vegetables and herbs indoors, choosing potting soil, watering, fertilizing, planting, transplanting and lighting. A small indoor greenhouse, suitable for home or apartment, will be on display. Attendees are encouraged to bring seeds for a seed exchange following the workshop.

Moore has worked with communities seeking to grow their own organic food. She teaches workshops to clubs and garden groups and speaks  at conferences and seminars.
