Girls Institute for Greatness orientation is on 6/30 and is focused for young women ages 16-28. GIG offers hands-on job training, career development, the Dependable Strengths workshop (in partnership with Enterprise for Equity!), financial skills development and an amazing women’s empowerment circle which fosters confidence & resiliency. Funded by the Women’s Leadership Council of Thurston County, GIG is free for participants. Another thing that makes it unique? It is open to candidates who have dropped out of school, have only a GED, don’t have a GED, have been in the justice system, and those who have graduated but don’t want to go to college. It’s opportunity.
