The Olympia Fire Department presents its Summer Fire Safety Movie Spectacular from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 2, 2016, at the Capitol Theater in downtown Olympia.

The fire safety event includes an 11 a.m. showing of Disney’s Planes, Fire & Rescue. Cost of admission is $1 or a donation of a non-perishable food item. Cash proceeds go to the Olympia Firefighters Civic Foundation and non-perishable food items go to Thurston County Food Bank.

On 5th Avenue, outside the Capitol Theatre, the public can learn about fire safety while touring fire trucks, meeting Olympia firefighters, and enjoying free ice cream and giveaways. Sparky the Fire Dog and Smokey the Bear will also be on hand for autographs.

Free ice cream is being provided and sponsored by Captain Little.
