Program: The public is invited to the July 24th meeting of the Olympia Chapter of Trout Unlimited for a presentation by Capt. Clint Muns on “Salmon Fishing in South Puget Sound and Hood Cannel”. In addition refreshments will be served and a fishing equipment raffle will also be conducted.
Year ‘round salmon fishing in Puget Sound is a reality, although some times of the year are better than others. The calm beauty of South Puget Sound and Hood Canal, provide a unique fishing experience. In this modern era of fisheries management, with ESA listed stocks, hatchery reform, marked selective fisheries and all the regulations that go along with this, having someone with experience and knowledge to negotiate these complexities for you will enhance your enjoyment for fishing these waters. Clint will share the best places to fish for salmon at specific times of the year. Also with fishing equipment being shown, fishing techniques will also be discussed.
