From Jon Robin Baitz; his 2012 Pulitzer Prize nominee, Other Desert Cities, is coming to OLT on July 8.

The story is Brooke Wyeth’s. Her family have always been involved in both Hollywood and conservative politics. The family gathers for a Christmas reunion in Palm Springs: Her father (a former Western movie star known for his prolonged death scenes and a staunch GOP politician), her mother (friend to Nancy Regan, fiercely protective and a practitioner of “tough love”), her aunt (a former screenwiter, liberal and alcoholic ) and her younger brother, (creator and producer of a highly successful reality TV show called “Jury of Your Peers”.) Brooke has brought the manuscript of her long-awaited new book, a memoir about her older brother, his involvement in a fatal Vietnam war-era bombing and her view of their parents’ responsibility for his suicide.  Is she seeking forgiveness or permission?  How will her image-conscious family cope?  What really happened to her older brother?

Come see this celebration of  life, politics and family played out in wonderful dialog! Warning:  Funny and entertaining verbal sparring, but much adult language
